Aoka Mizu FPSO goes live with Permit Vision 7.0

New milestone marks a five year partnership in operational safety

In 2010, Bluewater started operating with Permit Vision across its entire FPSO fleet. The project has improved both safety and productivity on all of Bluewater’s installations. Bluewater’s continued trust in the capability of eVision was cemented in 2012, when eVision received the Bluewater Safety Award.

Now, five years later, Bluewater decided to upgrade the Permit to Work software on Aoka Mizu to the newest version.

The Aoka Mizu, Japanese for Bluewater, operates on the UK part of the continental shelf of the North Sea, off the coast of Aberdeen. This 248.2 meter long vessel is designed, built, owned and operated by Bluewater and went into production at the Ettrick field in 2009 and was later also tied in with the Blackbird field. Having completed the software upgrade at Aoka Mizu, the rollout will continue on Haewene Brim later this year.
