Haewene Brim FPSO upgrades to latest version of Permit Vision
In 2010, Bluewater started operating with Permit Vision across its entire FPSO fleet. The project has improved both safety and productivity on all of Bluewater’s installations. Bluewater’s continued trust in eVision was cemented in 2012, when eVision received the Bluewater Safety Innovation Award.
Following a successful upgrade of Permit Vision to version 7 on the Aoka Mizu in 2015, Bluewater has now implemented this new Permit to Work software on the Haewene Brim as well. Gijsbert Portheine, Bluewater Department Head HSEQ & RC says: “It is Bluewater’s policy to ensure a proactive, responsible approach to safety and environmental care. Permit Vision allows us to improve safety through optimized processes and procedures, as well as increase efficiency”.
Haewene Brim first went live with Permit Vision over six years ago. “The upgrade of Permit Vision on the Haewene Brim marks another big milestone in our longstanding relationship with Bluewater”, says Simon Kennedy, Chief Operating Officer at eVision. “We are proud to continue to work together with Bluewater and contribute to their operational excellence and safety objectives”.
The Haewene Brim, ‘Bluewater’ in Anglo-Saxon, has been operational on the Pierce field in the UK sector of the North Sea for client Shell UK Exploration & Production since 1999. This 252-meter-long vessel was purchased by Bluewater in 2001. With the exception of a short suspension in 2004, when the vessel received modifications to extend its field life, it has been in production since October of that year.
