(21 August 2019) – Koole Terminals has chosen Wolters Kluwer’s eVision to provide integrated cloud-hosted Control of Work software for three of its facilities, all of which are located in Rotterdam. International storage company Koole Terminals provides logistics solutions across their nine terminals in The Netherlands, Poland and the United Kingdom.
The Control of Work platform will first be implemented at Koole Tankstorage Botlek (KTB). Located in the heart of the port of Rotterdam, KTB stores both chemical and mineral oil products and operates a PID facility. KTB is currently being transformed further into a state-of-the-art terminal, where safety is priority number one. Replacing legacy shift-handover and permit-to-work systems with best-in-class, Control of Work software is part of that effort.
eVision’s Control of Work solution digitizes and streamlines processes that are related to permit to work, risk assessment, hazard identification and shift management. Whenever Koole Terminals carries out construction, maintenance, demolition, remediation or other similar work that is typical for the industry, effective Control of Work processes allow tasks to be carried out safely and effectively by ensuring the right people and the right precautions are involved.
According to Martijn Joon, Terminal Manager at Koole Terminals, eVision’s software solution is a perfect fit for Koole Terminals’ innovative business and operations. “As part of our ongoing strategy to operate state-of-the-art facilities, we needed an integrated and flexible platform capable of scaling and evolving in response to our needs and requirements,” said Mr. Joon. “We are confident that sitting at the heart of our operations, the eVision solution will provide this capability through best practise processes and integrable modules.”
Following the implementation of the software at KTB, eVision’s Control of Work solution will be rolled out to Koole Tankstorage Minerals (KTM) and Koole Tankstorage Pernis (KTP), further enabling Koole to achieve their operational excellence goals. The software will be hosted in eVision’s Amazon cloud, giving Koole Terminals guaranteed uptime of 99.9%.
