Oman LNG further improves safety of operations as they take digital Control of Work into effect through the successful implementation of Permit Vision at their plant in Qalhat

Oman LNG has gone live with Permit Vision, eVision’s flagship product that integrates Permit to Work (PTW), Risk Assessment and Isolation Management into a single software solution. Oman LNG has completely replaced a paper-based PTW system with a digital solution across all areas of their operation.

The company has chosen Permit Vision to improve the end-to-end control and risk management of their maintenance operations at the liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Qalhat, Oman. With the implementation of digital PTW, Oman LNG has a real-time view on the status of permitted maintenance and operations work, the associated risks and isolations. The software helps operations to work more efficiently and in accordance with the stringent safety procedures that Oman LNG upholds. Permit Vision is fully integrated into the ERP system and delivers a high degree of automation in PTW management.

The review and digitization of the specific safety procedures, implementation and testing has been completed in under six months, which is testimony to Oman LNG’s agility and commitment to safety. The implemented software modules include Isolation Management, Graphical Overviews, Integrated Risk Assessment and Job Hazard Analysis; all critical to safe operations.

Oman LNG is a liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Qalhat near Sur, Oman. The gas supplied to the plant origins from the Barik, Saih Nihayda and Saih Rawl gas fields. After the liquefaction process has turned the gas into a liquid 600 times less in volume, it is transported to Oman LNG’s clients all over the world.
