Neil has a software engineering background, primarily focusing the past 15 years on software design and software interaction. As business analyst Neil has been involved in product design for numerous safety and operational software systems, widely used within the Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industry. Working at some of the top European company’s and advising government agencies Neil has been leading large corporate IT development projects, learned a great deal, not only about software design, but more importantly about all problems and missed opportunities related to IT in general.
Since 2003 Neil has held many different consultancy jobs within the Oil & Gas Industry, leading product design for complex environments within the E&P industry. In early 2008 Neil co-founded eVision, picking up the challenge to redesign Permit to Work software making it easy and simple to use by all, independent of IT skill level, age, culture, language or background. Today, Permit Vision is the world-leading dedicated Control of Work solution. Permit Vision is used in more than 25 countries spread over 5 continents. Global companies including Shell, BP, Total, Statoil, Rasgas, Qatar Petroleum and many others have rolled out eVision software to thousands of assets around the world.
Neil works closely together with senior management of large Oil & Gas companies as well as with the end-users on the work floor, merging ideas and technology, paving the way towards a fully integrated, safe future.
