Simon Kennedy is a highly experienced line and programme manager with over 15 years of experience leading IT and organisational change trajectories for Tier-1 players in the natural resources industry globally. He holds a Bachelor of Science from Rhodes University with honours and distinction.
After graduation, Simon worked both onshore and offshore in the mining industry in Southern Africa, before joining the Resources operating group of global consultancy firm Accenture. For his first several years there, he delivered strategy, IT and organisational change projects for South African and global mining majors.
His focus then shifted to the oil & gas industry, and for the past 10+ years he worked on Environment, Health, and Safety-related IT projects and programmes for Accenture’s Oil, Gas, and Petrochemicals clients internationally, whilst leading Accenture’s Netherlands and European EHS practice.
His expertise is in Project and Programme management (PMP certified), EHS Information Technology, Personal safety, Safety culture, Incident management, Permit to work, EHS MS, Change Management, Organisation Transformation, and Process Design.
